Video Tutorials

Getting Started in CellEngine is a series of videos aimed at users who are new to CellEngine or experienced users who want to see the full details of a specific aspect of CellEngine. The whole series is available on YouTube as a playlist, or embedded below.

Tip

Whenever you see ▶️ in the documentation, that page has an associated video tutorial. Click on it to go to the relevant video.

Introduction

This segment introduces CellEngine, focusing on the creation of experiments and different approaches to add metadata.

Basic Gating

Gating is split into two videos. The first covers compensation, scales, and basic gate creation. Other features are covered in the next video.

Advanced Gating

The second gating video covers more advanced features that build on the previous gating tutorial. These features include importing from other experiments in CellEngine, creating Boolean, combination and percentile gates, and manual and automatic gate tailoring.

Illustration Introduction and Flow Plots

This tutorial introduces the illustration page, batching figures, and creating flow plots either individually or in grids with pivot tables.

The next video demonstrates the gating hierarchy tool, which can automatically generate gating hierarchies in several layouts.

Advanced Illustrations and Statistics Plots

The second illustration video demonstrates the creation and options of bar graphs, box plots, heatmaps, and dose response curves. It also covers additional illustration features for customizing plots, like changing sort order, creating custom color palettes, and changing plot scales.

Algorithms and Statistics Export

The final video in the series looks at algorithms for dimensionality reduction and clustering, along with some examples for visualization, and the options for exporting statistics for downloading.
